  • AIT Austrian Institute of Technology www.ait.ac.at

    The Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) is the largest non-university research institute and a specialist among the European research institutes in key infrastructure issues of the future. 

      
    Role in project: The AIT will lead the development of dynamic logistic optimization. The institute will coordinate the demonstration in Vienna and will provide input for the assessment as well.

  • Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences www.amsterdamuas.com

    The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) is located in the Netherlands and includes around 43,000 students, 4,000 employees, 80 bachelor programs and eight research programs. 
     
    Role in project: The AUAS is the overall project leader responsible for planning and coordination of the project activities. The AUAS will contribute to logistics optimization for the Dutch demonstration project, provide expertise for the development of smart governance strategies and coordinate the demonstration in Amsterdam.

  • BERNARD Engineers bernard-ing.com

    BERNARD Engineers is a multinational engineering company in the BERNARD Group. They offer planning, consultancy and engineering services in the industry, energy, infrastructure and transport markets. From project conception to completion, their aim is to achieve sustainable solutions. 
     
    Role in project: BERNARD Engineers will provide the project with data and knowledge about construction sites and management. In addition, they will contribute to the development of smart governance concepts by sharing their experiences. They will take part in the demonstration in Vienna by providing data, assessing impacts and stakeholder involvement as well.

     

  • Cargohopper www.cargohopper.nl

    Cargohopper is part of Transmission, a transport company with a broad national network. Deudekom and Cargohopper work together on zero-emission city logistics.
     
    Role in project: Deudekom and Cargohopper will focus on providing data and sharing knowledge on transport and logistics activities for the CIVIC project. They will also contribute to the development of smart governance concepts by sharing their experiences.

  • Chalmers University of Technology www.chalmers.se

    Chalmers University of Technology will be represented by two departments and one center: the Department of Technology Management and Economics (TME), the Department of Architecture (A) and the Visual Arena Research Center (VAR). TME conducts research within the areas of logistics, innovation and entrepreneurship, industrial marketing and quality sciences. A will research the area of dialog methods for urban planning. VAR specializes in strengthening, gathering and developing research and teaching in the area of visualization. 

    Role in project: Chalmers University will explore the current state, objectives and challenges regarding existing governance structures as well as differences between organizations and countries.

     

  • CommuniThings www.communithings.com

    CommuniThings is a provider of smart city solutions based on fixed and mobile IoT (Internet of Things) sensing platforms, which collect data across city streets.

    Role in project: CommuniThings will provide input for logistic optimization and scenario evaluation using a smart application sensor network that collects real-time data from urban sites. They will also develop and test the applications within three national demonstrations.

  • Deudekom www.deudekom.nl

    Deudekom is a logistic service provider with a focus on removal, storage and internal logistics services. Deudekom and Cargohopper work together on zero-emission city logistics.
     
    Role in project: Deudekom and Cargohopper will focus on providing data and sharing knowledge on transport and logistics activities for the CIVIC project. They will also contribute to the development of smart governance concepts as well by sharing their experiences.

  • Lindholmen Science Park www.lindholmen.se

    CLOSER is the Swedish arena for research, development and innovation within transport efficiency. The arena is a part of Lindholmen Science Park (LSP). They offer a neutral innovation and demonstration environment for collaboration between industry, the academic sphere and the public sector. One of the most important tasks of CLOSER is initiating and coordinating large national and European demonstration projects.
     
    Role in project: LSP will take part in the steering group as a work package leader for WP5.  They will also play an active role as a project member in work packages WP1, WP2 and WP4.

  • Linköping University www.liu.se

    Linköping University's (LiU) research on construction logistics is organized under the Department of Science and Technology. The construction logistics group consists of seven people, including five PhD students. The research group focuses on needs-driven research with the overall objective to build more efficiently in terms of time, costs, and quality.
     
    Role in project: LiU will be the work package leader for the development of smart governance concepts, and serve as the national demonstration coordinator for Stockholm in collaboration with fellow implementation partner the City of Stockholm.

  • The Swedish Transport Administration www.trafikverket.se

    The Swedish Transport Administration is the government agency responsible for the long-term planning of the transport system. Trafikverket is also in charge of the state road network and national railway network.

  • Vrije Universiteit Brussel www.vub.ac.be

    The Mobility, Logistics and Automotive Technology Research Group (MOBI) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is a leader in electric and hybrid vehicles and in social-economic evaluations for urban mobility and sustainable logistics. 
     
    Role in project: MOBI/VUB will develop the conceptual framework and contribute to the demonstrations and assessment of progress and results.
